The judges highlighted our personal touch, our range of services and our community feel.
The project we submitted
Our entry was the website we built for The Hangleton & Knoll Project, a community development and youth work charity in the west of Brighton and Hove, working across Portslade, Mile Oak, Ingram, Hangleton and Knoll. Local residents have shaped it since it began in 1983, and it has become a model of how a community can develop and manage its own resources.
The site has to serve very different people at once: residents looking for activities and support, families, volunteers, and the funders and partners the charity works with. We built it to make the breadth of the charity's work easy to find, to meet the WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standard, and to be simple enough for the charity's own team to keep up to date without calling a developer.
Later in the year we also won the Website - Charity category at the British Agency Award 2026, for our website for Lancing & Sompting Lions. Read about that award.
How the awards work
Each nominee submits supporting information for their chosen category. Once the number of nominations for a category is met, every business in it is passed to a panel of industry expert judges, who choose the winner. Alongside that questionnaire, the judges draw on publicly available information such as reviews, testimonials and the company's website and, where relevant, its social media.
Winners are listed in the awards book. The Prestige magazines are available in print and digital formats to registered subscribers, entrants, nominees and media partners, and the Prestige Awards has an audience of over 100,000.
Reviews and testimonials count towards the judging, so thank you to every client who has taken the time to leave one, and to the judges and the Prestige Awards team for the recognition.
