Pixel Perfect Websites

Everything your website needs.

Design, building and getting found on Google and in AI answers are not separate jobs. Each one depends on the others, which is why we do all of them rather than handing bits to somebody else.

One team, one point of contact.

The usual set-up is a design agency, a separate developer and a search agency. Each does decent work and each looks after its own bit. The design looks lovely and takes four seconds to load. The build is tidy but Google cannot see it. The ads work perfectly until they land on a page nobody thought about.

Running it all through one team removes the argument about whose fault it is, because there is only one company to ask.

Planning
Who the site is for, what it needs to say, and what you want people to do.
Design
How it looks, with every page built around one thing you want people to do.
Building it
Quick to load, and set up so your team can update it without ringing us.
Search, AI and ads
Google rankings, AI answers and Google Ads run together, measured on enquiries.
Keeping it working
Improving it over time, with reports written in plain English.

What you are actually buying.

Nobody has ever wanted a website. They want what a good one does to the rest of the business.

Authority
Look like the most credible option in your market before anyone has spoken to you.
Qualified enquiries
Fewer time-wasters. More enquiries worth clearing the diary for.
Conversion
The same number of visitors, worth more. Usually the cheapest growth available to you.
Positioning
A reason to choose you that a competitor cannot copy by lunchtime.
Search visibility
Rankings earned properly, so they hold rather than slipping back.
AI visibility
Named when buyers ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot who they should use.
Paid advertising
Ads judged on profit rather than clicks, pointing at pages built to receive them.
Evidence
All of the above, measured - so the next decision is an easier one.

Web design

Design work in progress.
Design work in progress

We work out what each page needs to say, how people move through the site, and how the whole thing looks. The design has to do the work of the brand, not just decorate it. We design for two people at once: the one comparing you against two competitors in other tabs, and the one who has already decided and simply wants to get on with it.

Every page is built around one thing we want the visitor to do. If we cannot say what that is, we do not build the page.

  • Getting to know your business, your competitors and what people search for
  • Working out which pages you need and what each one is for
  • The look of the site, and a set of reusable parts so it stays consistent
  • Laid out properly for phones, tablets and desktops - not one design squashed down
  • How things move and respond as people use the site
  • Direction on the wording, or we write it for you

Web development

Building and testing a site.
Building and testing

Sites that load quickly and keep working as you grow. Speed is decided at the start rather than fixed at the end: we agree how fast the pages have to be, using Google's own Core Web Vitals measures, before anything is built, and hold to it all the way to launch.

Accessibility works the same way. We build to WCAG 2.2 AA as a minimum, because a site some people cannot use costs you customers before it costs you anything else.

  • Clean, accessible code that browsers and screen readers understand
  • A way of editing the site your team will actually use
  • Speed targets agreed at the start, then measured and held to
  • Security, backups, monitoring and an alert if the site goes down
  • Analytics set up properly, and connected to the systems you already use
  • Written notes and a training session when we hand it over

Hosting, domains and DNS

Hosting and infrastructure.
Hosting and infrastructure

The part of a website nobody thinks about until it stops working. We host your site on professionally managed UK data centre infrastructure, look after your domain names and DNS, and keep the whole thing secure and backed up. One company to call, rather than a hosting firm, a domain registrar and an IT contractor all pointing at each other.

The data centres behind our hosting hold independent certifications including ISO 27001, ISO 22301 and SOC 2 Type 2, and run on 100% renewable energy. What the accreditations mean for you.

Moving to us is part of the job. We bring your website, email and domain across, and plan the switch so nothing goes offline.

  • Free SSL certificates on every site, wildcard certificates included, installed and kept renewed for you
  • UK hosting with a global content delivery network (CDN), so pages load quickly wherever your visitors are
  • Daily backups of your site, databases and email, kept for 30 days (60 for databases) and restorable down to a single file
  • A web application firewall, DDoS protection, daily malware scanning and brute-force login protection
  • Domain names registered and renewed on time, so your address never lapses
  • DNS managed for you, including DNSSEC and the SPF, DKIM and DMARC records that keep your email out of spam folders
  • Business email with 10 GB mailboxes and built-in spam and virus filtering

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

Search results and reporting.
Search results and reporting

The technical work behind the scenes, the content you publish and the wording on the page, all aimed at the searches that lead to enquiries rather than the ones that only look good in a report. Ranking for something nobody buys from is an expensive hobby.

Because we build the site as well, the technical side is right from the first day rather than being patched up by somebody else six months later.

  • A technical check that Google can find, read and list every page
  • Working out which searches actually lead to enquiries
  • The wording, headings and the links between your own pages
  • A plan for what to publish, and when
  • Earning links and mentions from sites worth appearing on
  • Reporting on enquiries, not on how many people saw you

AI Optimisation

AI assistant answers and reporting.
AI answers and reporting

More of your buyers now ask an AI assistant before they open Google. They put the question to ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini or Claude and get a short answer naming two or three suppliers. If you are not one of them, you were never in the running, and nothing in your analytics will tell you.

AI Optimisation is the work of getting your business into those answers. You will also hear it called AI SEO, Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) or Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO). The names differ but the job is the same: making sure the large language models (LLMs) behind these tools can find you, understand exactly what you do, and trust you enough to recommend you.

It builds on good SEO rather than replacing it, which is why we run the two together. We already do this for our clients, and we can show you the results.

  • What ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot and Claude say about you today, and about your competitors
  • Structured data and technical fixes so AI tools can read your site properly
  • Pages rewritten to answer the questions buyers actually ask
  • Mentions on the trusted sites AI tools draw on, such as reviews and industry press
  • Your business details kept consistent everywhere they appear
  • Monthly tracking of where you appear in AI answers, including Google's AI Overviews

Google Ads

Campaign planning.
Campaign planning

Google Ads run to make a profit, not to spend a budget. How the account is set up, what you bid, where the money goes and the pages people land on are planned as one thing, with spend pushed towards whatever is working rather than spread evenly to look busy.

We report on what each genuine enquiry costs you and, where we can track it, what a won client costs. How many people clicked is useful for spotting problems, but it is not the result.

  • How the account and its campaigns are structured
  • What you bid, where the budget goes and who sees the ads
  • The pages the ads point at, and testing different offers
  • Tracking enquiries, including the ones that close over the phone
  • Google Shopping campaigns for retailers
  • A monthly review of what it earned, not a wall of numbers

Judged on the outcome.

The work that has been put in has yielded extremely positive feedback from our students, because the site has been designed to function in a very visitor-friendly style and format.

Six to ten weeks, start to finish.

That is typical for a full design and build. Larger sites take longer, but the stages are the same - and you will know exactly which one you are in at any point.

  1. Before we start

    Discovery and proposal

We start by talking to you, and to the people who deal with your customers. We go through your analytics, look at your competitors, and work out what the site actually has to convince someone of. Then we come and present our proposal in person. We would rather sit across the table from you than email a PDF: it puts a face to the name, and it is the best way for us to really get to know you and your organisation.

You getA proposal with the reasoning, scope, timeline and price set out, presented face to face so you can question every part of it.

    Presenting the proposal in person.
  2. Weeks 1-2

    Structure and content

What pages exist, what each one is for, and what has to be true on it before someone will act. This is where the decisions that shape everything else get made, and settling them now is far cheaper than revisiting them halfway through the build.

You getA sitemap and page-by-page plan, agreed before anything is drawn.

    Sitemap and page plan.
  3. Weeks 2-5

    Design

The overall look first, then the reusable parts, then every screen at every size. Reviewed together with you clicking through it, never a PDF emailed over for comment.

You getReal screens you can click, on your own phone.

    Design review session.
  4. Weeks 4-9

    Build

Building starts while the design is being finished. You get a private link early on, so you watch the site come together rather than waiting for a big reveal. The speed and accessibility targets are held to the whole way through.

You getA private staging site, updated daily.

    Staging site on your devices.
  5. Final week

    Launch and handover

Moving everything across, pointing old addresses at new ones and protecting your search rankings are all planned well before the day itself. Then a recorded training session, so whoever joins your team next can still learn how to run it.

You getThe keys, the recording, and a site your team can update.

    Training and handover.
  6. Thereafter

    Growth

The first year is where the useful work happens, once what real visitors do replaces what everyone assumed they would do. We report against the number we agreed at the start.

You getQuarterly reporting in plain English, and a plan for what is next.

    Quarterly review.

Tell us what you need.

The projects that go best are the ones where something commercially real is at stake. Tell us what that is, and we will come and present our proposal in person - we would rather put a face to the name and get to know you properly.
